“Sometimes God will use the chaos around us to get clarity within us about what will absolutely outlast us.”— @bobgoff
Rolling this phrase around in my head today : “chaos to bring clarity” He will redeem things we think are interruptions in our “peace”. He will use them to turn our faces to God and so that we understand we are helpless, we are actually dependent. We are not strong. We are not righteous. We are not holy. We are not enough— which is depressing and hopeless — Unless! unless we have Him.

The the formula gets flipped upside down. IN Him we are strong & enough & made Holy. Only in Him can we truly forgive. Only in Him can we repent. Even repentance is not ours, yes you with all the right answers. You who can’t find the sin in your heart.
As the Scriptures say, “No one is righteous— not even one.” I love that He gave clarification here: “no one is righteous …” Religious folks : “well I mean we are…” Jesus : “lol, NOPE, not one of you.”
The good news is that we are free to acknowledge we are not good, we want to sin any chance we get.
Especially with our pride, perhaps the most hidden and detrimental sin in seeking the reconciliation and peace we so desire.
Peace is a person: That is God.
How do we get to God? By recognizing we need someone to save us: That is Jesus. How do we recognize Jesus? By His undeserved love while we were still sinning.
Is Jesus recognizable in you lately ? Ask God to change your heart, to see more, to lay old defenses down.
This chaotic moment in your heart could be the first step to clarity & transformation. That’s good news!
